Tuesdays and Wednesdays during Lent will feature Tuesdays a CLC Together and Soup Supper starting at 5:30 pm followed by a Study at 7:00 pm at the San Marcos campus. At the Escondido campus on Wednesdays, there will be CLC Together and Soup Supper starting at 5:30 pm followed by a Worship Service at 7:00 pm (12 noon services are available at Gloria Dei and Light of the Valley LCMS churches).
The focus throughout Lent will be Psalm 41. God’s grace wells up in Psalm 41 where King David exults God’s divine mercy amid his own brokenness, and the world he sees around. David tracks the flow of divine grace back to its source at the cross and, with prophetic vision, finds it springing forth in the lives of all baptized believers—including you. If you feel like you’re sinking instead of rising and find that “the waters have come up to my neck” (Psalm 69:1), know that there is comfort from God as we cry out with David, “Be gracious to me Lord!”
