Annual Church Picnic

Posted by Donna Hinke on

This year’s church picnic was blessed by absolutely perfect weather. We were back in our traditional spot at Kit Carson Park, and it felt like a homecoming for many of our charter members. The setting under the graceful canopy of trees was the perfect spot and one I hope we can return to next year.

The tri-tip prepared by Curt Euhus was delicious, and the games organized by the youth group were enjoyed by all (whether you participated or watched those who did)!  It was a wonderful afternoon spent reconnecting with friends old and new.  Many of our San Marcos worshipers were in attendance giving everyone a chance to mingle and mix.  Kristen prepared a bingo mixer giving those who played an opportunity to learn new things about each other.  This was won by Luke Huhn, who was one of our most enthusiastic players.  The younger ones were entertained by bubbles, balls and the bounce house.  The bounce house proved to be a big hit with all who gave it a try.

If you were unable to come out this year, I hope you will join us next fall when we once again, bring out the “hot dishes” “desserts” and “sides”.
